Focus and Scope
Reciprocal interdependence between infectious and haematologic diseases (malignant and non malignant) is well known. This relationship is particularly evident in mediterranean countries. Parassitosis as Malaria, Leishmaniosis , B Hookworms , Teniasis , very common in south-est Mediterranean area, infect about a billion people and manifest prevalently with anaemia, so that they are usually diagnosed mostly by experienced haematologist on blood or bone marrow smear. On the other hand, infections are also the main problem in patients affected by hematological malignancies .The blood is the main vector of HIV infection, which otherwise manifest with symptoms related to reduction of T lymphocytes. In turn, infection favours haematological malignancies. Causative relationship between Epstein-Barr virus infection, helicobacter pylori , virus C hepatitis, HIV and lympho-proliferative diseases are well known. An editorial from editors (specialist in hematology and infectious diseases) will be made for the launch of the journal to comment particularly important articles appeared on this journal or in the more important international journals .MJHID will be a topical journal on subjects of current importance in clinical hematolgy and infectious diseases .Every issue would have , beside the editor in chief , a guest editor . Both editor in chief and guest editor provide to invite experts in the selected topic to performe a complete update of the arguments readly available fo practicing phisician. The journal will have also a section devoted to original papers , case reports and letters to editor.Edtorial comment .

Editorials
Considering the MJHID will be a topical journal every issue will be introduced by an editorial by the guest editor and by an expert chosen by the editor in chief illustrating the more important progress on the field in the last few years.
Highlights
Every section editor will signal the more important articles appeared on authritative journals in the last few months
Review Articles
Considering that the main scope of the journal is educational, review articles (peer reviewed) will be the backbone of this journal.
Original Articles
Only original articles fitting with the aims and scope of the journal will be considered. Researchers and clinician of developing countries are invited to present epidemiological data and current status of health care in their countries.
Case Reports
Case repord should be no longer 2000 words .
Letters to Editor
Letters to editor are welcomed and should be related to main topics appeared in the journal
Peer Review Process
- The editor in chief , the guest editor will peer review all manuscript, furthermore two reviewer will be consulted . If the reviewer are in disagreement a third reviewer will be consulted. In any case the final decision will be made by the editor. The first decision will be made within 3 weeks. If the author is unhappy of the decision he can choice an independent reviewer among 5 proposed by the editor.
Publication Frequency
Most of the journal will be devoted to a main topic treated by a few reviews. The items concening the main topic will be published collectively. as part of an issue withits own Table of Contents. Individual items concerning the main topic could be published as soon as they are ready, by adding them to the "current" volume.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Archiving
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

Th e Journal publishes topical reviews and original artcles concerning both clinical hematology and infectious diseases. A particular attention will be deserved to original articles focusing on relationship between blood and infectious diseases in mediterranean area.
